Navimow i2 AWD, i2 LiDAR or H2: which fits your lawn?

Five U.S. models for established lawns up to 0.5 acre. This is a shortlist from one brand, not a ranking of every robot mower. Research-based selection; not hands-on tested.

How to choose

First exclude models that do not meet the measured lawn area, height and slope requirements. If a critical measurement is unknown, show Needs checking rather than Fits.

For a small uneven lawn, investigate i2 AWD. For a comparatively flatter lawn with tree-cover navigation concerns, investigate i215 or H2. These are research-based starting points, not tested performance rankings.

H210 is a conditional alternative at the same area rating as i210 AWD. H220 is the shortlisted step for additional area. Do not let family names imply that one is universally superior.

If none fit, say this batch has no suitable option. Do not recommend an undersized mower, upsell purely by commission or imply a robot is always better than retaining a lawn service.

Check your lawn with the fit checklist.

What a robot mower won’t do

Clear loose objects before mowing; check the map after changes; respond to alerts and failed runs.

Based on manufacturer guidance · i2 AWD U.S. manual, H2 U.S. manual, i215 LiDAR U.S. manual · reviewed 2026-10-01

Budget for edge finishing and areas the mower cannot reach. Mowing automation does not include weeding, leaf collection, pruning or the rest of lawn care.

Clean sensors, wheels, cutting parts and charging contacts; inspect wear; replace blades and screws; follow seasonal storage instructions.

Based on manufacturer guidance · i2 AWD U.S. manual, H2 U.S. manual, i215 LiDAR U.S. manual · reviewed 2026-10-01

A robot may reduce active mowing time, but setup, supervision, interruptions and maintenance can offset part of that benefit. No measured household time-saving claim is supplied.

Take routine mowing off your list for a smaller lawn — Navimow i206 AWD

Start here for a lawn within 0.15 acre when traction matters and the site can support the mower’s positioning setup.

Good fit: A smaller, established lawn; a household willing to prepare and maintain the mower.
Avoid if: More than 0.15 acre, cutting heights outside the supported range, or a site without a workable positioning and docking plan.

Still yours: clearing the lawn, edges, alerts and upkeep. Price needs checking.

Hand over mowing across a quarter-acre lawn — Navimow i210 AWD

The larger-capacity i2 AWD option for lawns within 0.25 acre where traction is a key buying requirement.

Good fit: More mowable grass than i206 supports, with uneven terrain that makes AWD relevant.
Avoid if: More than 0.25 acre, unsupported cutting heights, or buyers who cannot accommodate mapping and upkeep.

Still yours: clearing the lawn, edges, alerts and upkeep. Price needs checking.

Reduce mowing work on a tree-lined lawn — Navimow i215 LiDAR

Consider for a comparatively flatter lawn within 0.37 acre when LiDAR-based navigation is more relevant than all-wheel drive.

Good fit: A relatively flatter lawn where the LiDAR approach and 0.37-acre rating address the main concerns.
Avoid if: More than 0.37 acre, boundaries steeper than 25%, or an assumption that every i2 model has AWD.

Still yours: clearing the lawn, edges, alerts and upkeep. Price needs checking.

Plan less hands-on mowing around a mixed-layout yard — Navimow H210

A conditional alternative within 0.25 acre for someone evaluating LiDAR, Network RTK and vision together.

Good fit: A lawn within 0.25 acre whose navigation needs justify investigating the H2 system.
Avoid if: More than 0.25 acre, boundaries steeper than 25%, or someone choosing H2 solely because it costs more.

Still yours: clearing the lawn, edges, alerts and upkeep. Price needs checking.

The capacity choice in this first batch for suitable lawns within 0.5 acre.

Good fit: A suitable lawn above the smaller models’ ratings and no larger than 0.5 acre.
Avoid if: More than 0.5 acre, boundaries steeper than 25%, or properties requiring frequent carrying between disconnected lawns.

Still yours: clearing the lawn, edges, alerts and upkeep. Price needs checking.
